The Refinishing Process For Stained Items:
The piece is hand stripped, not dipped. Once dry, it is scrubbed with a non-abrasive brush and pressure washed. Then, the repair work, sanding & staining begins. After adequate drying time, a self-sealing pre-catalyzed lacquer is sprayed on and left to dry overnight. The catalyst in the lacquer hardens the finish for superior protection. Fine sanding between each coat is done with a fine grit sanding sponge. Four to five coats of lacquer is then applied to achieve the proper finish.
